There right when they say the marine 6.5 are a little on the weak side. These 7s pack some heat.

these speakers rip! i can really crank em with no distortion. i run a commercial fishing boat and theres alot of ambient noise to compete with. i could barely get the old speakers ( which were high end high power speakers ) loud enough. now the crew keeps tellin me to turn it down!

these speakers are great. extremely clear highs/ mids and bass is more than expected.... almost 50% less than crutchfield prices and other comparable listings. Wouldn't install any other marine speakers (JL, JBL, Sony, Polk, etc...) now that I have these alpines.
