The Radio Replacement Interface allows the replacement of a factory radio in select Ford/Lincoln/Mercury vehicles. This interface will maintain operation of the SYNC system in vehicles with Sony, THX, Audiophile and Shaker audio systems and also audio systems without external amplifiers . The Radio Replacement Interface allows audio from the SYNC system to play through the aftermarket radios auxiliary input. This interface will also retain an external factory Sirius Satellite Radio tuner as well as Rear Seat Entertainment. SYNC or the factory Sirius tuner can be controlled from the Steering Wheel Controls or from the separate multi-function LCD display. Retains Factory Satellite Radio.

Worked very well in my 2011 Ford Focus SE with SYNC. You do not have to use the LCD screen it comes with on this vehicle as the SYNC functions still display over the OEM screen. Install was extremely easy. In fact, it was so easy that I nearly messed it up because I thought it was more complicated than it was. Simply matched and connected the same colors.

Works great once you realize that you do not need the supplied screen and learn how to navigate using the oem screen on the top of the dash (it used to show info on the oem radio screen). Sync works as good as it did before
