I have these in the back doors of my tahoe and the polk mm components in the front, they sound great. Better than kicker, infinity and alpine(all which I have bought before in other vehicles). Very good midrange and ear pleasing highs, no harshness at all.

By Shmeglee
I Have these speakers in my rear panels. I have them paired in with some components in the front and they compliment each other very well. They don't just fill in sound, they really stand out and sound great. They have great response in bass, mid and highs. I highly recommend these Polk speakers and at there price here at Amazon, they are worth every penny and then some. If your looking for a very, very good coax Speaker and are considering these at just over a hundred bucks they are a steal. Do yourself a favor and consider these speakers if a Coax setup is what you are looking for as a part of your Car audio setup.

Ok, so I just got these installed in my 06 Grandprix GXP....
History: Over the years pontiac (well GM in general) starting putting less and less into their Monsoon stereo system. I replaced the head unit with a XG-700 JVC a year ago because I wanted an IPod connection. Then replaced the 6.5's with some sony xplode 6.5's......garbage. Then 2 days later, pioneer 6.5's an install shop sold me......a little better, but no bass at all. Also had to turn my JVC up to like 50 just to hear the XM radio (has a weaker input signal).
I had these Polks put in today in the front, a BOSS 4 chan amp (50w rms per chan), two Kicker 0796 (something like that) 6x9's and a clarion EQ......
DAMN!! These Polks are crystal clear! And sensitive. the 6x9's have a S/N ratio of 92, these are 94 (anything over 91 is good to great), but these things are so load, I have to fade the eq about 85% to the back to balance out the speakers.
The have good range and are prob the best sounding 6.5's you will find if you have sensitive
ears like I do. The also produce more bass than my kicker 6x9's but I think the kicker's need to warm up or something.
NOTE: factory speakers in a monsoon post 2005 GM system are 2 omh, so when you install 4 ohm speakers you are gonna produce about 1/2 the volume at the same watts, so even if they speakers you get are better or clear, they will need more power. These are great at 2.7ohms. My 6x9's are 4ohm and I think I am going to turn up the gain on that channel of the amp.
**update: 13 Oct 2011** This puppies now produce nice mid-bass and sound so clear you can hear the artist breathing while singing. Also at 92 S/N ratio and 2.7 ohms, dont make the mistake I did and get 6x9's rated less than 92db, actually just go with these all around! I have to adjust the gain 80% to the back because these are so efficient.
